By default Shipper will not export the insurance value of a package to the carrier because most merchants using Shipper do not want to pay for carrier insurance. Follow these steps if you want to export the insurance value:

  1. Select Stores from the navigation pane.
  2. Double click on your store to open the configuration.
  3. Select the Carrier Export Fields tab.
  4. Make sure Insurance Value is exported.

The insurance value is calculated by the Shipping Agent installed on your web site. Some Shipping Agents can be configured to use alternative calculations. Please see the Shipping Agent Documentation page for more information.

After the package is downloaded, you can adjust the insurance value using the Assign Insurance Value package task.
