Installing the Product License File

The license file is delivered electronically as a download link or as an email attachment. It must be copied to your web site as described below. Shipper Service automatically detects if you have installed a license file and validates the license. If you have not installed a license file, Shipper Service will request a trial license from Structured Solutions using a web service call over HTTP. The trial license is valid for at least 30 days. After the trial period has expired, the software will stop working until a valid license file is found.

License File Installation Instructions

Copy the license file to the bin folder of your web site.

The license file must have a file extension of ".lic" or Shipper Service will not find it. You can rename the file to anything you want as long as you keep the ".lic" file extension.

Web sites with a shared SSL certificate often have two bin folders: one for accessing the site with the HTTP protocol and one for accessing the site with the HTTPS protocol (often called SSL). If your site has two bin folders and you are unsure which one Shipper Service will use, copy the license file to both bin folders on your web site.
